UK England

I want to share with you a story about True Love and Miracles!

Back in November of 2009 we received one of our first cake topper orders from David Wederell who lived in England. I had the pleasure of speaking with David myself. He told me how finding the right cake topper had become quite difficult. That him and his fiancée Jennifer had been searching for quite sometime. When they finally came upon the ‘First Dance’ cake topper they immediately loved it!

David told me that it was not only the beautiful topper that captured their attention but the engraved quote from Shakespeare on the brides gown. You see, David and Jennifer’s wedding was Shakespeare themed. So, it was like this cake topper was made for them.

David received his topper but emailed back that his fiancée was in poor health, and that wedding plans were postponed because of her illness. About a year later I received an email from David and he wrote;

Dear Gina,
I hope this email finds you in good health. A long time ago back in November 2009 we conversed after I had ordered a cake topper from yourself from here in England. Unfortunately due to my fiancée’s ill health we were not able to get married.

My fiancée was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, we had to put our wedding plans on hold for several months. In April this year, after a long wait my fiancée defied the odds and successfully underwent a double lung transplant. She walked(!) out of the hospital an incredible 27 days later!

As soon as she was home our wedding plans were back on the agenda and we got married last Monday, 19th September surrounded by family and friends. As promised a long time ago please find attached a photo of us cutting the cake with the wedding topper alongside it. We did indeed keep our Shakespeare theme, all of the tables for dining were named after different plays with a quote from each. We both had a truly fantastic day and the cake topper has now become an ornament in our home forever reminding us of our day.

Kind Regards,
David Wederell
